Building Resilient Communities
Over 350 people from across New England and beyond joined us for the 2017 RootSkills Conference, in Manchester, NH.
The goal of the RootSkills Conference was to create synergy among community organizers in both the traditional and non-traditional environmental arena. It highlighted trends, best practices, and solutions-based tools that community organizers can employ to create needed change in neighborhoods throughout New England.

Environmental Health - One of the largest issues in New Hampshire right now is community exposure to PFC's via public water and private wells. In New England, we are seeing more and more communities impacted by new and expanding landfill, freeways, and fossil fuel infrastructure (pipelines, LNG plants, compressor stations).
New Economy - Our current system is based on the consumerism and the exploitation of people, land, and resource. This track featured workshops and tools that create a local, living, loving economy grounded in ecological and social well-being, cooperation, and regeneration.
